Proper care of your handcrafted pieces will help with the preservation of each handmade piece to ensure you are able to enjoy them for years to come.
Do not wet polymer clay earrings. Avoid direct sunlight.
Avoid using chemicals, solvents, perfume, jewelry cleaners, or any aerosol products near the earrings.
In the case that your earrings become dirty, gently wipe them with a soft, damp cloth.
You may also use a cotton ear swab dipped in acetone to wipe lightly on the surface of the earrings. this does NOT apply to earrings that are hand painted, have gold leaf, or are coated with varnish.
Keep away from sharp objects to avoid scratching the surface.
All brass components will naturally tarnish over time as brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. It tends to oxidize (tarnish) quickly when exposed to air, which is why I give my brass pieces a coating of lacquer to slow down this process.
Please do not wet brass as this will cause the piece to tarnish more quickly.
Keep away from direct sunlight or extreme heat.
In the case that your piece begins to tarnish, clean with a baby wipe or Brasso metal polish (or similar). you may also use a small amount of lemon juice or vinegar.
Please avoid direct exposure to sunlight. Prolonged exposure will cause discoloration and soften the pieces.
Do not submerge in water and keep away from harsh chemicals such as cleaning products, aerosol products, fragrances etc.
To clean resin jewelry, wipe with a soft, damp towel. You may use mild dish soap if necessary. Store resin jewelry in a box or separate compartment.
